For certain students, a football scholarship can be a good opportunity. There are three main advantages for students with a football scholarship. The first is that the student will receive an education. The second advantage is that the student will have the opportunity to improve their football skills. Depending on the type of scholarship the student receives, he may not have to work. If the student is extremely talented, the student may be able to secure connections enabling him to play professional football. If the student does not go into professional football, he will have a degree and can enter a different career. This gives the student financial security for the future. However, a football scholarship may not be the answer for all students. Not only does the student have to meet the demands of the classroom, but the student has to keep up with the football practices and games. This can create a rigorous schedule. If a student has to work as well, that is another added stress. If a student can maintain good grades and the football schedule and possibly work, then a football scholarship is a good decision.
