TO BE OR NOT TO BE: AFFIRMATIVE ACTION

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION IS NEEDED FOR THESE REASONS

Many people believe that affirmative action is peferential treatment top people of minorities. Others say that it is a way to bring minority groups into instituions that traditionally been dominated by white males.

Who Made affirmative action??? it was President's John F. Kennedy's idea.

He said, "affirmative action is to ensure the applicants are being employed, and that the employees are treated during their employment without reguard to race, creed, color, or national origin.

I believe that affirmative action is still needed in order to keep things fair. I think that there is still alot of racism and beacuse we still have not come to the point that we have a color blind society.

Who needs affirmative action?

1.) People who need a boost because they have not been given the same resources as privliged students have,

2.)If affirmative action is taken away then diversity that is essential to a student's learning experience will also be taken away.

3.) Monorities have been under injustices for many years and for that they should be rectified. Affirmative action is one way to rectify this.

Who is Oppossed to affirmative action?

1.) Those who believe that affirmative action is a punishment to the privliged for their ancestors mistakes.

2.) Those who believe that affirmative action makes minorities not work as hard as others.
